Our Mission Statement

The Alaska Film Group is a nonprofit trade organization designed to create economic opportunities for membership, provide an educational forum, and to be a voice for the film & video industry of Alaska.

Our History

The Alaska Film Group was formed in 1991 to organize Alaska’s community of film and video professionals into a nonprofit trade association. Over the years our membership has hosted film industry workshops, promoted film events and opportunities, fought for film incentives, represented Alaska at trade shows and marketing events. We provide a platform for members to network, share production leads and industry developments.

Join Us

The Alaska Film Group maintains a qualified crew list of working film professionals.

Our crews are experienced, reliable and get the job done right. As a member of AFG you’ll receive a member profile page with up to 3 crew category listings on our website, members only access for all production leads, and discounts for workshops and special events.

We strive to be the first point of contact for producers considering Alaska. Networking within our membership strengthens our ability to bring productions here. AFG members understand the value of Alaska’s growing film community and that a successful shoot leaves our doors open for future projects.
